We can no longer afford to not trust God. Being a believer in Christ comes with many trials. There are days when it can feel like it is too much to manage. However, leaning on God means so much more than simply praying and hoping that things will become better. Real trust, true trust, is needed to develop a strong lasting relationship with God. Times have changed and we can no longer walk around refusing to heed to the call of the Lord and His decisions for our lives.

2025 was the year of preparation at my church. My Pastor wanted us to understand the importance of denying ourselves daily and giving it all to God. The importance of placing burdens at His feet and leaving stress, worry, anxiety, and fear at the door to remain obedient to the call.
Psalms 55:22 (NKJV)
Cast your burden on the Lord , And He shall sustain you; He shall never permit the righteous to be moved.
I will say that I did not fully understand the importance of all of this until I had to experience it myself. 2024 to present has seen me through some of the hardest and toughest times of my life. From marital issues, multiple deaths in my family, unexplained health issues, challenges with my children, I mean you name it, it seemed like life dug its claws in my skin and would not let go of me. However, during those trials, I have also felt God’s presence surrounding me. I have understood when God was speaking to me and heard His voice more times than I can count. I have had multiple prayers answered, including prayers that were answered within one day, at times within hours.
John 10:27 (NKJV)
My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.

I have witnessed the spiritual growth of my husband, sons, and some extended family. Marital issues improved and a few issues completely eradicated, healing from trauma, peace, and hope while processing death, relief and prophecy regarding my health issues, multiple improvements with my children, I mean, I could go on.
I say all that to say, that while I was feeling broken and put through the fire, my Father was working it out for my good. While I was back and forth and in and out of faith, He was working in the background. While I was doubting, questioning, and begging to understand, He was comforting me, waiting for the day that I lay it all down, give it to Him and serve and worship Him with fire. He is constantly molding, shaping, and refining me daily as I learn more about what it takes to pick up my cross and follow Him. I encourage you to allow Him to do the same for you!
Whether it is your health, your finances, your children, your spouse, family, friends, or anything else, give it to Him. I do not just mean to tell Him that and walk away. I mean lay it down and do not pick it back up again. Ask for guidance, strength, wisdom, and discernment.
Believe me when I say I get it! I know it is easier said than done. This is where your relationship with the Father grows the most. You fight for your trials with your obedience, with worship, with humility, and with complete and total trust. No matter the cost, choose Him daily. When you make the choice to push and still go to church, prayer meetings, Bible study, outreach services, or just flat out witnessing to a lost soul, you are choosing to put Him first. Your heavenly Father will see this and you will begin to see your life change.
Do you know who also sees this? The enemy. It makes him angry and he wants to pursue you even more. Why? You have now chosen to be a soldier for Christ and that means WAR! This is where trusting Him is necessary to daily living and something necessary to embrace. It is time to lace up your boots, step up and tap into the calling the Lord has placed over us, whatever that may be. The enemy takes no days off…
I Peter 5:8 (NKJV)
Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.
BUT…
I Peter 5:10 (NKJV)
But may the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you.
Deuteronomy 31:8 (NKJV)
And the Lord , He is the One who goes before you. He will be with you, He will not leave you nor forsake you; do not fear nor be dismayed.”
NEITHER DOES GOD!

Finally, take a chance on the one true King this year! Let Him bring you joy, love, and peace. Be obedient to His will and allow Him to take care of you when the road gets rough. TRUST that no matter what it looks like, He will see you through. He loves you and you belong to Him. You matter and the work that you do for the building of the kingdom of God matters! Let’s make sure He gets the glory!
Proverbs 3:5-8
Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
And lean not on your own understanding;
In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He shall direct your paths.
Do not be wise in your own eyes;
Fear the Lord and depart from evil.
It will be health to your flesh,
And strength to your bones.
When you want to reach out and touch His garment for healing, remember, your faith is the garment. Reach out and touch it!
